Jack and I needed to get out of the house one Sunday so I took him over to Griffith Park where the LA Live Steamers guys run their large-scale miniature trains. They have these huge layouts and it's amazing what these miniature diesels and steam engines can pull. Jack was really excited and rightly so -- it's pretty cool!
Then it was over to the Travel Town Museum to look at some real trains. If you have a little boy in LA, the Travel Town Museum is the best bet on the planet. Totally free and about a zillion old, real trains that kids can climb around on.
Yeah, Jack was having fun.
